East Coast

New York is
where it started.

The Influence is a bicoastal PR and influencer marketing agency — and New York is our founder's home market. Manhattan fashion-PR roots, New York Fashion Week in our DNA, and campaigns that move between both coasts.

Manhattan
fashion PR.

Founder Ali Lasky is a New York native — raised on the south shore of Long Island, forty minutes from Manhattan, on Broadway shows and the energy of the city. She launched her career in New York fashion PR: an internship in Juicy Couture's Manhattan showroom, boutique publicity, and runway operations at New York Fashion Week.

That NYC pedigree — the editors, the showrooms, the fashion calendar — still runs through everything the agency does.

New York City is where the agency's standards were set: the pace of the editorial calendar, the discipline of a runway call time, the currency of a real relationship with an editor. When The Influence launched in Los Angeles in 2016, that New York City training came with it — and the agency has kept one foot in the city ever since.

"I was so excited to walk up the steps each day of NYFW at Bryant Park, enter the tent, and be handed the new copy of The Daily Front Row." — Ali Lasky, Founder & CEO

A focus market.

New York is a named focus market for the agency — fashion, beauty, media, and culture — with a history of New York Fashion Week activations and bicoastal campaigns run on the ground.

The roster has included names synonymous with New York City — The Ned NoMad, Rolling Stone, and amfAR among them — and client work has been covered by the press that calls the city home, from Vogue and WWD to The Daily Front Row. Campaigns are built so a story can break in New York City media and carry to the West Coast in the same cycle.

NYFW Activations

Fashion-week moments and activations that tap New York's editorial calendar — including the Rhonda's Kiss "Kiss for Comedy" NYFW fundraiser at The Civilian Hotel (September 2024).

Fashion & Beauty PR

Earned media and brand storytelling rooted in real Manhattan fashion-PR relationships — showrooms, editors, and the press that shape taste.

Influencer & Talent

The right creators and talent for New York launches and campaigns — matched with editorial intent, booked with precision.

Bicoastal Campaigns

One agency across both coasts — LA and NYC working as a single team, so a campaign carries from the Sunset Strip to SoHo without missing a beat.

Frequently asked questions.

Does The Influence have a New York office?

The Influence is a bicoastal agency headquartered in Los Angeles, with New York City as a named focus market rather than a second headquarters. Founder Ali Lasky built her career in Manhattan fashion PR, and the firm runs New York City campaigns and activations on the ground with its own team.

What work does The Influence do in New York City?

Fashion and beauty PR, influencer marketing, talent booking, and event production — including New York Fashion Week activations like the Rhonda's Kiss Kiss for Comedy fundraiser at The Civilian Hotel in September 2024. Campaigns are built to carry between New York City and Los Angeles without missing a beat.

What is the agency's history in New York?

Founder Ali Lasky launched her career in New York fashion PR — an internship in Juicy Couture's Manhattan showroom, boutique publicity at Fineberg Publicity and Siren PR, and runway operations at New York Fashion Week's Bryant Park tents. That editorial network still runs through the agency's work today.

Can a New York City brand hire The Influence?

Yes. New York City brands get the full service line — public relations, influencer marketing, talent booking, and event production — delivered by one bicoastal team. A campaign can launch in Manhattan and extend to Los Angeles, or run on both coasts at once, without switching agencies.

Has The Influence produced New York Fashion Week events?

Yes. New York Fashion Week is in the agency's DNA: founder Ali Lasky coordinated runway shows at the Bryant Park tents early in her career, and the firm has since produced its own NYFW activations, most recently the Kiss for Comedy fundraiser in September 2024.
